Ooooo i enjoyed this just as much as the first two books!
I could have quite happily punched Jake in the previous book, but he’s now forgiven. I think.
I have loved every page of this, and Leanne continues to keep her readers on the edge of their seat, with no idea of what to expect, and surprised along the way.
This Author has a knack for keeping you in suspense at the same time as building an addictive and beautiful romantic story.
I love how the characters have learnt and adapted since the first book, growing as people and learning how to be together. I find this to be a much more realistic romance, with it’s misunderstandings, miscommunications and learning how to be with one another.
There are steamy and suspenseful scenes throughout, and moments where i was thoroughly tempted to throw the book at the Authors head, in the best way possible.
I don’t think I will ever look at romance the same way again!
The concluding scenes were… unexpected! Shocking. Devastating. Beautiful. Horrible. Perfect.
In short, they were Carrero. Which I am coming to think will be how I measure romance stories in future. Is it a pretty, make believe romance? Or is it Carrero?
A truly brilliant conclusion to this trilogy! I can’t wait to find out about the rest of the Carrero Family!
This book made me fall in love with reading again, after 6 years of not finding a book that interested me, i planned to read a chapter a day but i just could not put it down and finished it within three days . I completely fell in love with the characters. I highly recommend it to anyone x
Absolutely loved this book, Great twists and turns. Great characters, tears, heartbreak and love. A fab read and a fab end to the story of Jake and Emma x
I adored this book. It was one of those books I absolutely could not put down and stayed up way past my bedtime just to finish. While this book is first and foremost a love story, it is also a book about friendship, survival and compassion.
Emma is a deeply flawed protagonist. She is closed-off and skeptical of others, yet the author does a great job of making you root for her to overcome her fears from her traumatic childhood. Jake is the perfect compliment to Emma: super playful, strong-willed and fiercely protective. You will fall in love with him quickly, but also hate him a little bit because he’s not perfect either.
So please, GO READ THIS BOOK. You won’t regret it.
P.S. After learning Marshall wasn’t American, her writing style made a lot more sense to me.
Utterly heartbreaking and completely addictive
I want to go to bed for a week and sleep. I want to cry my heart out because I am so connected to Emma that I feel like I am her. My heart is broken. What a fantastic read. I was drawn into the Carrero world and connected on such a deep level with Emma.
I absolutely fell in love with Emma and Jake from the start. Emma is relatable to anyone who has gotten over a rough part of life and is determined to keep the rest of their life on track, no matter what. Jake wasn’t as relatable but he’s hotter than Louisiana in August. Even if he’s got a stubborn streak a mile wide that sometimes makes you want to shake him. This is a great story of how they grow individually and how they fight a war within themselves. Each as a plan for their future – but what does life have in store instead?
I loved this …
The characters were absolutely brilliantly written, they were people you could connect with and believe in
I really can not wait to read the rest in the series
What a read read! You get to know the characters quickly and the story unfolds as a total page turner. I missed my train stop on my journey to work several times because I was too caught up reading! I’m looking forward to the rest to the series.
This book was a pleasant surprise!
I enjoyed this so much I couldn’t put it down!
Initially I wasn’t certain what to expect, and worried it would be your typical “girl meets boss, girl and boss fall in love and work perfectly”
I loved that this was individual. The plot wasn’t predictable, and the writing style is engaging. I wanted to know how situations would resolve, and it was intriguing how the characters clashed at times.
This was done to feel natural, logical even given the individuals backgrounds which we find out about as the story progresses.
The characters were done well, and react to their history in logical ways, neither is ‘perfect’. They each have their own hurdles to overcome, and i enjoyed seeing how they reacted to the situations thrown their way.
Being drawn in so well, i did NOT see the situation unfolding the way it did! It was fun to have a shocking ending in a romantic storyline, and wow what an emotional ride!
‘Sexy’ scenes were well done, but not overdone. So if the more graphic erotica isn’t your thing, you’ll like this one!
Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a romance that isn’t stereotypical!
